WELCOME TO CRAB CLUB

It starts with a bucket. And a bit of bacon.

You lean over the harbour wall, drop the line into the murky water, and wait. The sun’s in your eyes. Your knees are wet. There’s a kid next to you giving instructions like they’ve done this a thousand times, they probably have.

And then — a pull. A little one. You lift slowly, heart going. The sea shifts. A claw appears. It’s scrappy and furious and perfect. That’s it. You’re in.

This is Crab Club.

We made it because no one else had.
Because the world is moving too fast and we’re tired of it.
Because everything is online and urgent and screen-lit, and this isn’t.
This is slow. Silly. Wet. Free.
This is standing on a slimy rock with your mates, trying not to fall in, passing the bucket around like it’s a trophy.

For some of us, crabbing is nostalgic.
For others, it’s brand new.
But every time, it brings people together. It gets you outside. It gives you stories. And maybe a few nips.

Crab Club is:

  • A place to learn how to crab properly

  • An ever evolving home for tips, tricks, bait hacks, gear reviews and recommendations

  • A little weird, a little useful, a lot of fun

What’s coming:

  • A bucket list of the best crabbing spots in the UK and beyond

  • Posters you’ll want on your wall, t-shirts you’ll want on your body and hats you’ll want on your head

  • A community to share real stories, real sea creatures, real places

  • Our Bare Hands Club (for the bold) and Bare Hands Club Extreme (for the criminally insane)

  • Ocean-friendly crabbing gear – kinder nets, lines, and buckets.

This isn’t a nostalgia blog. It’s a movement.
Or a mess, either way, you’re welcome.
