Why Crab Club?
For some, it’s pure nostalgia . Summers spent barefoot on slimy rocks or rickety jetties, sunburnt and happy. For others, it’s the start of something new, showing their kids a simple, real kind of fun, far from screens and shops.
Crabbing belongs to everyone . Whether you’re brand new, or you’ve spent summers, armed with a bucket and a strip of bacon and leaning over harbour walls since childhood. Maybe you already know the quiet suspense of raising a line inch by inch, eyes fixed on the water, or maybe you’re about to feel it for the very first time — that moment of wonder when something emerges from the green depths, and the quiet pride of dropping a crab into the bucket.
But Crab Club isn’t just about crabbing. We want to make crabbing better for the planet. That means designing eco-friendly nets, biodegradable lines and buckets that don’t kill the ocean. Crabbing gear that works well, lasts long enough, but doesn’t leave a trace forever. Because the sea gives us plenty, the least we can do is not ruin it in return.
This isn’t just a blog. It’s a guide, a clubhouse, a rebellion against boring weekends, keeping crabbing weird, wonderful, and just the right amount of pointless.
Welcome to Crab Club. No membership card needed – just bait, a line, and the urge to dangle.
